JAMESTOWN — November 2, 2026. Tuolumne County Transit operates a Route 3 linking Jamestown and Sonora, with some locations served only after a request to the dispatcher.

Not every stop is automatic

The operator lists the Food Bank, Humane Society, Sonora Fairgrounds and other locations as on-demand stops, asking riders to phone at least 15 minutes before the scheduled stop time.

Flag stops are different

Jamestown Post Office and Nancy’s Hope are among the operator’s flag-stop locations, where a safe stop may be made at driver discretion if a passenger signals early.

Weekday and weekend changes

The county says fixed-route service follows weekday timetables, while Saturday travel uses on-demand Dial-a-Ride. Call 209-532-0404, check fares and accessibility, and verify the live schedule rather than relying on an old timetable.
