Railtown 1897 in Jamestown Switches to Winter Museum Hours and $5 Adult Admission

JAMESTOWN — November 2, 2026. California State Parks lists winter museum hours at Railtown 1897 State Historic Park in Jamestown from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily between November and March.

Winter visiting differs from summer

The museum opens from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. April through October, then shortens its hours in November. It is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Admission prices

The state lists standard museum admission at $5 for adults and $3 for youth aged 6–17, with children five and younger admitted free. Train excursion tickets are separate seasonal offerings and should not be assumed included on any November day.
